Job Description
Rockwell is looking for a Sr Software Test Quality Engineer to join an agile team building services that provide our customers the ability to setup, configure, maintain, and deploy security configurations within their facilities. We are looking for someone who has the drive and the initiative to jump into the product to develop product specific expertise, is experienced in design and execution of Test Plans, is attentive to details, has worked in an Agile process and is customer-focused . Experience in the industrial sector is a huge plus.
The Senior Software Test Quality Engineer upholds the Quality bar for the FactoryTalk System Services software. Responsibilities include verifying and reproducing customer reported issues, creating, and updating test for new and existing features and identifying anomalies during the development lifecycle. The candidate will use tools such as JIRA, QTest, and Excel to create dashboards for quality metrics. The scope of work is generally focused on complex test engineering tasks to ensure quality software and hardware products are developed.

Responsibilities:
Participate in the full lifecycle of software development from planning to releaseParticipate in Agile Scrum and Stand-ups, lead test design, plan, and execution at triage sessionsCollaborate with Product Management and Engineering to gather requirements for test designContinuously produce, review, and enhance test documentationLead release testing activitiesLearn current and new functionality of the product with a goal to improve product qualityReport anomalies with precise title, description, and steps for anomaly reproduction for developersOwnership of end-to-end feature testing, test strategies, and anomaly backlogActively contribute to release timelines with testing estimation, prioritization, and anomaly trackingFollow Rockwell Automation's SDLC processesMaintain documentation for existing and new quality proceduresCollaborate with geographically distributed teamsWork closely with product manager and developersContribute to and promote good software quality engineering practices across the teamTroubleshoot and resolve system problems and customer issues
The Essentials- you will have:

The Preferred- you might also have:
Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in test plan design and executionBachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering.Experience developing software and automated tests and tools in Python and C#Hands-on experience with common tools for test automationExperience in performance testing (load, stress, reliability, and longevity)Experience using tools like JIRA, Confluence, QTest, and JenkinsExperience testing products that interface with the ControlLogix platform or other industrial control systemsExperience with troubleshooting industrial communications (such as CIP and Ethernet/IP)Experience managing source code using GITKnowledge of release and regression testing methodologiesExcellent problem-solving skills and experience communicating updates and resolutions to customers and other partnersAbility to coordinate tasks with remote development teamsWell versed in Agile practicesPassion for testing with the "break it" mentalityExperience with managing, booting up and decommissioning virtual machines and their snapshots in private or public (Azure) cloudThis position is part of a job family.
