You are responsible for
Requirements, Design, implementation, test and integration of embedded software module in accordance with the SW Requirement and design specifications, easy to maintain, extendible (components and modules) and re-usable
Ensures that there is proper documentation for the developed SW
Technically responsible for the software in (sub-) projects. Control and verify that the SW is build according to his SW architecture. Verifies that the integration is according to the architecture Ensures the mutual consistency and efficient integration of the separate components in modular design that meets the product specification
Maintains software by solving problems and implementing changes
Ensures that SW modules meets the product certification requirements
Is abreast of/participates in standards identification responsible for designing
Networks with colleagues within BU and beyond and maintains external contacts for benchmarking.
new SW-technologies, tooling, design methods, and reflects them to the SW-group
Draws up personal schedule and reports on progress
Contributes to the Work Breakdown Structure/ the planning process of his/her area.
Keeps abreast of technical developments in own field through study of literature and technical contacts
Maintains product and company reputation by complying with country specific regulations
To succeed in this role, you'll need a customer-first attitude and the following
Completed engineering studies at university level; BE/BTech/ME/Mtech in El Electronics/Electrical cal with
8 to 12 years of experience.
Sound knowledge of Embedded SW in C, C++, Real Time OS, VX works
Expert in coding in Embedded C/C++, Proficient in hardware description languages like VHDL. Verilog etc.
Engagement in all phases of New Product Introduction (NPI) and MLD (Modified Launch Design), including concept, architecture, documentation, design, prototype, test, supplier interfaces, manufacturing introduction and service support.
Tools: IAR Workbench/Keil IDE/Visual DSP++ IDE, Version Control tools like GIT
Experience developing software for complex systems in regulated industry (medical, automotive, aviation)
Working knowledge of SDLC of embedded product development and documentation
Working knowledge of serial/network communications including UART, 12C, SPI, Ethernet (TCP/IP, UDP), CAN, RS485
Experience in printed circuit board bring up and testing
Experiences in real-time operating systems
Knowledge of software tests and static code analyses
Ability to understand and debug problems across hardware/software boundaries. Strong debugging skills, ability to use oscilloscope and logic analyzer for troubleshooting.
Knowledge of IEC 62304/1SO13485 standards is added advantage.
Should have experience in DFMEA and design of Fail-Safe Systems and Sub Systems
Exposure to International Medical Quality and Regulatory Standards e.g. IEC, FDA, UL, CE, CSA, BIS etc. will be preferred.
Experience in the field of Medical Devices product design e.g. MR, X-Ray, Mammography systems etc. will be added advantage.
Hands-on experience with tools like Agile, Clear-quest, Windchill or equivalent
Disciplined team worker, ability to work independently.

Quality mindset in design and documentation

Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.
Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
