**Job title:**
The Product Manager is responsible for driving comprehensive product strategy and lifecycle management, integrating in-depth customer feedback and market analysis to achieve commercial success and meet strategic objectives, working under limited supervision. The role strategically defines and drives product, software, and lifecycle management roadmaps aligned with portfolio marketing strategies, ensuring optimal performance-cost balance and adherence to timelines. The role optimizes product strategies, enhances profitability and market penetration through regional collaboration, ensures adherence to PDLM guidelines and aligns marketing strategies with global markets. The role facilitates strategic planning to achieve KPIs, analyzes market trends, and oversees testing protocol development for accurate evaluations.
**Product Strategy & Portfolio Ownership**
+ Lead the definition and execution of multi-year software product strategy, ensuring portfolio competitiveness and differentiation.
+ Drive value proposition development based on customer insights, clinical workflows, and market needs.
+ Drive the transformation strategy to achieve annual software releases in DXR, ensuring regulatory compliance and positioning software as a key medical product differentiator.
+ Build robust claims roadmaps for product, software, lifecycle, and professional services.
+ Develop and present business cases for new investments, feature enhancements, and monetization strategies.
+ **Identify and create opportunities for modular software offerings that enhance and extend Philips’ diagnostic hardware platforms, driving solution flexibility and scalability across diverse clinical environments.**
**2. Software Product Lifecycle Management**
+ Own the end-to-end lifecycle of diagnostic imaging software: concept → requirements → development → launch → market success → phase-out.
+ Ensure regulatory compliance (SaMD, FDA 510(k), IEC 62304, MDR) and product readiness for lead and emerging markets.
+ Drive pricing strategy and margin optimization in collaboration with the Pricing CoE.
+ Partner with R&D and Agile teams to deliver high-quality software releases with optimized time-to-market.
+ **Champion cross-platform architectural alignment, ensuring software solutions interoperate seamlessly with multiple hardware modalities and future-proof platforms.**
**3. AI, Data, and Automation Integration**
+ Embed AI/ML-driven capabilities using NVIDIA MONAI, VISTA-3D, MAISI, and other frameworks to enable autonomous workflows.
+ Apply data science techniques, data engineering pipelines, and A/B testing to continuously improve products.
+ Develop data-enabled monetization models and value extraction strategies from digital solutions.
+ Enable personalized imaging workflows and AI-based image quality automation.
**4. Market Insights & Competitive Positioning**
+ Partner with Marketing Intelligence & Analytics (MI&A) teams to translate customer, segment, and market insights into actionable strategies.
+ Benchmark against competition and emerging AI-first competitors.
+ Drive ecosystem positioning and develop strategies to integrate into the right partnerships and alliances.
**5. Executive & Cross-Functional Leadership**
+ Act as the primary interface with executive management to influence strategic priorities and portfolio investments.
+ Collaborate with R&D, marketing, sales, service, and clinical teams for seamless go-to-market readiness.
+ Lead knowledge transfer and sales enablement, ensuring customer-facing teams are equipped with feature descriptions, pricing, quoting materials, and value propositions.
+ Provide subject matter expertise in the creation of customer and sales education content.
+ **Influence senior stakeholders across multiple businesses and platforms to unify software-hardware solution strategies, reducing fragmentation and accelerating enterprise-wide interoperability.**
**Required Qualifications**
+ Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Biomedical Imaging.
+ 12+ years of experience in software product management, preferably in medical imaging or healthcare SaaS.
+ Proven expertise in cloud-native SaaS platforms, software-defined systems (SDS), and AI/ML-enabled solutions.
+ Strong business acumen with success in business case development, pricing strategy, and portfolio monetization.
+ Deep understanding of global regulatory frameworks for medical software.
**Preferred Skills**
+ Experience with diagnostic imaging modalities (X-ray, CT, MRI, Ultrasound).
+ Familiarity with leading AI tools in the market.
+ Strong analytical skills, including data-driven decision-making and statistical analysis.
+ Executive-level communication and stakeholder influence skills.
+ **Proven ability to design and manage modular offerings that bridge software and hardware portfolios.**
+ **Demonstrated success influencing platform strategies across multiple product lines to deliver unified solutions.**
**How we work together**
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.
Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.
Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
