Job Description
A premier organization is seeking a Senior Software Engineering Manager to lead technical strategy and talent development in a complex software environment. This individual will play a pivotal role in guiding engineering teams, enhancing delivery capabilities, and advancing long-term technology goals through cross-functional collaboration. The position offers a hybrid work structure and the chance to influence a forward-looking technology culture. Responsibilities:Coach and develop engineers to identify and grow their skillsets and capabilities.Partner with architects and developers to transition from current state to future-state technical solutions.Improve engineering efficiency and solution quality by driving best practices and fostering feedback loops.Define and execute long-term engineering strategies aligned with broader business objectives.Lead and influence cultural and technical maturity initiatives within the engineering organizationQualifications and Requirements: Required:Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.At least 7 years of experience in software development or quality assurance roles.Demonstrated leadership in QA automation and software engineering excellence.Strong influencer and communicator across both technical and non-technical teams.Deep understanding of SDLC methodologies and best practices.Preferred:Proven success in complex stakeholder environments.Ability to operate independently and make high-level decisions.Familiarity with insurance industry workflows and customer experience strategies.Experience aligning engineering output to business marketing and operational needs.
