Senior Software Engineer - Vigilance Platform

IQVIA is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Vigilance Platform (IVP) team. This role is focused on full-stack development within a cloud-native SaaS solution supporting global pharmacovigilance efforts. The engineer will contribute to the IVP Core module and may rotate across other modules such as Collect and Detect. This is a delivery-focused role requiring hands-on coding and collaboration across global teams.

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain full-stack applications using Java (primary) and Python (secondary)

Collaborate with architects, business analysts, and agile teams across India, Europe, and the U.S.

Optimize performance and ensure software quality and compliance

Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment readiness

Work within cloud deployment pipelines and Kubernetes-based scaling (EKS on AWS)

Contribute to cross-module development and agile squad delivery

Qualifications:

3–4+ years of hands-on software development experience

Strong proficiency in Java; Python familiarity is a plus

Experience with AWS, especially EKS/Kubernetes

Comfortable working with JSON, databases, and PDF generation

Exposure to DevOps concepts (CI/CD, scaling, monitoring) is a plus

Practical mindset with a focus on execution and delivery

Experience in regulated industries (e.g., healthcare, fintech) is a bonus

Work Arrangement:

Hybrid preferred: 3 days/week in Durham office during the first 2 months

Remote considered for strong candidates outside the area

Candidates must reside in posting Country

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $91,300.00 - $228,200.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
