Job Overview:
CGI is looking for a talented and motivated Data Engineer with strong expertise in Hadoop, Python, Pyspark, Programming skills to build and manage scalable, efficient, and reliable data pipelines and infrastructure. You’ll play a key role in transforming raw data into actionable insights, working closely with data scientists, analysts, and business teams.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

6+ Years Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines using cloud platforms and big data technologies.
Develop and optimize data warehousing solutions to ensure high availability and performance.
Implement data modeling techniques to support analytics and reporting needs.
Ensure data quality, governance, and compliance across all data processes.
Collaborate with business analysts, data scientists, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver data solutions.
Leverage cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and big data frameworks (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka) to build robust data architectures.
Utilize DevOps practices and CI/CD tools to automate and streamline data workflows.
Monitor and maintain data systems, implementing alerting mechanisms to ensure reliability.
Participate in Agile/SAFe ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Proficiency in programming languages such as PySpark, Scala, SQL, and Java.
Strong experience with ETL processes, data modeling, and data warehousing.
Familiarity with DevOps tools and CI/CD workflows (e.g., Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes).
Knowledge of monitoring and alerting tools for data systems.
6+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on building scalable data pipelines and warehousing solutions.
Proven expertise in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Flink).
Experience with data governance, quality management, and compliance
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, Agile/SAFe environment.
