Position Overview

Autodesk is seeking a motivated, experienced and highly skilled and motivated Senior Software Developer to lead the development of a robust end-to-end automation framework and actively contribute to feature development for our core platform. This role demands strong technical expertise in Cypress, Jest, JavaScript, NodeJS, and ReactJS, along with a deep understanding of testing strategy, quality engineering, and agile product development.

Responsibilities

Automation Design & Implementation: Design and implement a robust end-to-end test automation framework using Cypress and Jest

Automation Leadership: Lead automation initiatives to enhance test coverage, minimize manual testing, and ensure platform stability

Feature Development: Develop and maintain high-quality, secure, and scalable features utilizing JavaScript, ReactJS, and NodeJS

Collaboration: Work closely with QA, DevOps, and Product teams to define test strategies and acceptance criteria

Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks in both feature development and test framework design

Code Reviews: Participate in code reviews and enforce coding standards to ensure code quality and maintainability

Incident Response: Actively support the on-call rotation for production incident response, ensuring the high availability of our systems

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)

Experience: A minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience in building and maintaining complex, scalable software applications

Technical Proficiency: Proven experience in designing and building automation frameworks with Cypress and Jest. Strong expertise in JavaScript and NodeJS, and professional experience using ReactJS

API Development: Experience in building and testing RESTful APIs and web applications

Cloud Knowledge: Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS

Communication: Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder collaboration skills
