Splunk is the only company whose products have been named as leaders in both Security and Observability. You will contribute to the backend and frontend code to build and maintain the IT Service Intelligence product at Splunk.This position will need to be physically located in the Hyderabad, India area.ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop/implement features from scratch.Handle non-functional requirements like Responsiveness, Performance, High availability etcRegularly leads design and code reviews, and participates in architecture discussionsWork with Product Managers to refine the requirements.Collaborate with interaction designers and visual designers to build features with an intuitive user experienceWork with Quality team to define the scope for testingHelps teams estimate software deliverables, often across multiple sprint timelines.Work with Architect to refine the technical backlog and define technical debtTake ownership and initiative to own and address issues promptly for our internal and external customers.Become proficient in Splunk's core technologies and processes as they apply to application development.Opportunity to mentor Junior engineers and constantly raise the bar on engineering practicesHelp team achieve productivity by improving on processQualificationsMust-Have:7+ years of relevant industry experience with a bachelor’s degree; or 5+ years and a master’s degreeGood knowledge of web standards and modern browsers, responsive design, and of the full web technology stack.Experience in client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks (React)A strong foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in operating systems, networks, data structures, algorithms, distributed systems, and software designExcellent problem solving, collaboration, and communication skills, both verbal and writtenA demonstrated capability for creative thinking, intellectual and entrepreneurial explorationExperience developing, debugging, and performance tuning highly concurrent systemsExtensive knowledge and production programming experience in at least one of Java/C++/PythonExperience designing and developing REST-based services with well-defined contractsSelf-starter who is comfortable taking the lead on a task, collaborating with other engineers to design and implement featuresGood knowledge withFamiliar with the agile software development processNice to have skills:Strong understanding of one of the major Cloud technologies, e.g. AWS, Azure, or Google CloudExperience in working within a Continuous Delivery (CD) development modelWe value diversity at our company.
