Hybrid – Torrance, CAMoog is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Software Development Team. You will develop software for flight critical components and may also develop software for automated test stands to test flight control actuation systems. Reporting to an Engineering Manager, you can choose a 9/80 work schedule with a hybrid work option (3 days/week in the office) in Torrance, CA.

As a Sr. Software Engineer, you will:
Design and implement software for use in real-time embedded aircraft control systems
Perform systems and software integration and verification activities using real and simulated hardware
Lead a team to provide system definition, define and implement requirements, develop software, perform system integration, execute high and low level verification testing, and maintain support of the software in the target environment while controlling project costs and schedule
Design and implement software that performs data acquisition and control for automated test equipment
Have knowledge of various computer interfaces, including hardware drivers
Stay up-to-date on advances in technology and processes for continuous improvement of accuracy, reliability, and cost.
Develop maintainable software interfaces to electrical and mechanical systems.
Select instrumentation for such systems with an understanding of the appropriate accuracy to meet functional requirements.
Comply with flight or safety critical processes such as DO-178 Level A or SAE ARP4754A or military aircraft equivalent
Domestic travel may be required as needed (up to 5%)
To be considered for the role, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or other technical discipline, preferably Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or similar
8+ years of software development work experience
OR Master’s Degree in Engineering with 6+ years of software development work experience
Experience programming in C or C++
This position requires access to United States export-controlled information.
This position may require obtaining a U.S. government security clearance; this clearance requires U.S. citizenship.
It would be great if you also had:
Experience with flight or safety critical processes such as DO-178 Level A or SAE ARP4754A or military aircraft equivalent
Programming experience in Python, dSPACE, Simulink, LabVIEW computer languages
Experience with cyber security in an aircraft environment (like secure boot, encryption, Trusted Platform Module, etc.)
Experience in the aerospace/defense industry
Experience leading and organizing engineering teams, while maintaining organization communications
Demonstrated ability to communicate well with all levels of the organization and have experience working with external constituencies
Demonstrated ability to understand and convey complex regulations/procedures
Experience in a Test/Development Lab environment
Mechanical and/or electrical knowledge in a hands-on environment

Salary Range: $150,000 - $170,000 (Negotiable based on experience and qualifications)
