As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll play a key role in evolving the Exos Coaching Platform. You'll architect and build new features across mobile, web, and the backend working as part of a small cross-functional team. This is a high-impact, hands-on role where your expertise in software development will directly improve the lives of our members by giving them the tools they need to achieve their most meaningful goals.
A Day in the Life:
No two days are exactly alike, but here is a glimpse into what a typical day might look like:
Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and other engineers to translate complex concepts into high-quality features for our members.
Meet with engineers on your team to decide the appropriate architecture to support a new project.
Spend dedicated focus time building a new feature.
Review code changes made by your teammates to ensure they align with our standards.
Share your ideas for process changes in your team’s retrospective meeting to improve how you work.
What We're Looking For:
You have 5+ years of hands-on, full stack software development experience.
You are fluent in developing modern web and server solutions using technologies such as React, Typescript, GraphQL and Postgres.
You have experience building mobile applications and deploying them to both Android and iOS, ideally using React Native.
You possess a strong understanding of web browser fundamentals, including HTML, CSS, and responsive design.
You are experienced with and believe in engineering best practices such as automated testing, CI/CD and code reviews.
You’ve used modern cloud computing platforms such as AWS and are familiar with the services they provide.
You’ve been responsible for ensuring production software is working properly and have familiarity with tools used for debugging, monitoring, and alerting.
You are a true owner of your work, from the initial design and coding to deploying in production and providing support afterward. You’ll be expected to propose alternative technical solutions, and influence the product roadmap based on technical feasibility and long-term maintainability.
You are an excellent communicator with a high level of empathy for the user and their experience.
You are familiar with Agile development approaches such as Kanban or Scrum.

Experience building AI-powered product features.
Per pay transparency requirements, the compensation for this position ranges from $160,000 - $180,000/year. Minimum rates may vary based on local wage laws. Pay is dependent on factors including site location, specialty, certifications and work experience as well as other business needs. Exos offers a comprehensive benefits package for all full time employees (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements), which includes health insurance, life and disability benefits, 401(k) plan, and paid time off. Additionally, Exos offers a variety of part time benefits (subject to eligibility requirements).
