Reporting to the Team Lead, the Senior Software Engineer is responsible for delivering quality and features at speed! You will have the opportunity to work as a member of a R&D software development team, providing end to end development and testing of cloud applications. You will primarily focus on cloud applications utilizing Core Java, Spring Boot, RESTful HTTP services design, and JavaScript, Bootstrap, HTML5. You will work on mission critical software that solve real business problems. We give engineers ownership to work with modern engineering practices and automation. Opportunity to continuously learn and work on scalable, cloud-native architecture. You will be located in Bangalore, it will be a Hybrid mode.

 

In this role, a typical day will look like:

Developing end-to-end cloud applications with restful APIsConsistently delivering committed work and tracking progress using standard agile practices, as well as Tempo time trackingCollaborating with fellow developers, architects, designers, product owners, and team leaders to solve problemsUnderstanding problems and transcribing solutions based on existing/planned architecture and acceptance criteria.Ensuring the quality of all their work by performing testing, including: manual, automated API tests, unit testingContributing towards solution-level architecture via defining and updating various architecture artifactsPerforming code reviews for self and peersFollowing our standard development processes and ensuring work is in line with the aligned architectureOccasionally contributing toward desktop & legacy desktop applications

The essential requirements of the job include:  

Bachelor’s in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or similar experience5+ years in professional software development industry (Core Java, Spring Boot, Rest API).2+ years developing cloud applications with cloud providers such as AWSHands-on experience in RESTful HTTP services designExpertise in designing applications and applying standard design patternsHands-on experience in JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap, HTML5, CSS3Good to have knowledge in one of the cloud platforms like AWSFamiliar with Continuous Integration tools — JenkinsGood to have exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, React & AI/ML
