Position Details:

Position Summary:

Chubb is seeking an experienced AI/ML Engineer to join our Global SRE Chapter. The AI/ML Engineer will work closely with the SRE teams to design and develop intelligent automation solutions that address operational challenges and improve service reliability. This role requires a minimum of 6 years of industry experience as a developer with Python/NodeJs , with at least 3 years of hands-on development agentic AI based automation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machine learning, data engineering, and automation within an SRE or DevOps environment.

Using robust SDLC processes, the AI/ML Engineer will develop and deploy ML-driven tools to automate and optimize operational tasks. As part of the automation squad in the Global SRE chapter, you will design and implement end-to-end solutions, leveraging both AI/ML and traditional automation techniques to enhance infrastructure stability and reliability.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and deploy AI/ML-powered automation tools using Python/NodeJS and Angular, focusing on self-service portals and intelligent operational workflows for the SRE team.Follow SDLC principles to develop, test, and maintain automation workflows, ensuring code quality and reliability.Develop both frontend and backend components, ensuring seamless integration between user interfaces, backend logic, and ML models.Participate in the design, testing, and implementation of software applications that enhance infrastructure reliability and stability.Align development work with Agile methodologies, delivering scalable and maintainable services.Mentor and train junior team members in AI/ML best practices, automation techniques, and SRE concepts.Automate operational, monitoring, and integrity verification processes (e.g., runbooks) for hardware, server, and system resources, leveraging ML for proactive issue detection.Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for developed automations, including ML model lifecycle management, installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.Continuously improve existing processes through innovative automation and ML solutions, addressing recurring problems and enhancing documentation.

Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies:

Strong programming skills in frontend technologies (Angular/HTML/CSS) and backend technologies (Python/NodeJS).Proven experience in developing automation using agentic AIFamiliarity with SDLC processes, best practices, and CI/CD pipelines.Experience working in Agile frameworks.Basic understanding of SRE concepts; experience in SRE or DevOps environments is a plus.Curiosity and commitment to learn and apply SRE skills over 6 to 12 months.Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts across all levels.Self-driven with the ability to manage workload independently and prioritize multiple strands of work.Ability to collaborate with cross-functional technology teams to achieve common goals.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on automation and process improvement.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
