You'll have…

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related field and 6 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation.   6 years of experience with the following skill is required:  1. Development of backend language and frameworks including Java, Spring/Spring Boot, and J2EE.  5 years of experience with each of the following skills is required:  2. Generating function, procedures and queries in databases including Postgres, MSSQL and Oracle. 3. Developing web-based applications using frameworks including Java Spring Boot, JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular, and ColdFusion.  3 years of experience with each of the following skills is required:  4. Developing and deploying to Google Cloud Platform using GCP services including GCP Cloud Run, GCS Bucket, and PubSub. 5. Using Agile methodology and managing work with tools including Jira and Rally. 6. Implementing microservice architecture, using RESTFUL Web services development and APIGEE. 7. Using Code Quality Tools including SonarQube, 42 Crunch and FOSSA.

We are offering a salary of $138,486.00 - $181,429.20/ yr.

What you’ll be able to do: 

Senior Software Engineer - positions offered by Ford Motor Company (Dearborn, Michigan). Note, this is a hybrid position whereby the employee will work both from home and from the Dearborn office. Hence, the employee must live within a reasonable commuting distance from Dearborn, MI.  Develop web-based application in Java Springboot, Angular 16, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML. Utilize containerization technologies, including Docker, to manage and deploy search services to GCP Cloud. Design and Implement Tekton PAC pipelines for continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) of features and generate automated testing as a part of the deployment. Design and maintain databases in PostgreSQL and MSSQL to support the backend APIs. Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform to request or modify cloud services. Utilize GitHub for source code management and implement test-driven development (TDD) methodologies in an Agile framework. Develop webservices using both SOAP and Rest APIs to transfer data between applications. Work in a lean, cross-functional, and co-located team. Collaborate with Product Manager and Business customers to ensure delivery with quality at market speed.
