Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering or related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation. 5 years of experience with each of the following skills is required: 1. Utilize Agile Methodology and PDO (Product Driven Organization) Framework Methodology to design and develop enhancements to a Legacy based Application, which has more than 90-Interfaces to various Marketing & Sales, Engineering, and Manufacturing Applications. 2. Perform COBOL Programming (including Batch File Processing) to handle various business operations using file handling techniques, including manipulating sequential, indexed, and variable length massive data sets. 3. Utilize IBM Utilities (File Manager & IEB Gener) & IT Connect/COBOL based APIs (Advanced Programmer Interfaces) to process highly complex data structures for daily Business Transactions. 4. Leverage Endeavor Version Control to move complex Enhancements into production and to track all prior historical versions of the Legacy Code Base. 5. Leverage DB2 Mainframe Database Handling to represent complex Business Transactions. 6. Performing failure analysis or solving complex technical issues arising during development or daily production using at least one of the following debugging tools: Memory Debugging Tools, Interactive Debuggers, Code Coverage Analysis Tools, Data Visualization Tools, or Remote Debugging. 7. Perform validation and lead user acceptance testing for business process solutions for manufacturing and marketing and sales operations. 8. Translate design requirements into functional specifications. 1 year of experience with each of the following skills is required: 1. Perform Vehicle Invoicing Processing and File Handling between a Legacy Application and an SAP/S4 HANA Application. 2. Utilize SAP/S4 HANA Analytical Skills (or other advanced technology package) to process VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) Invoices.
We are offering a salary of $138,486.00 - $174,096.12/yr.

What you’ll be able to do:
Senior Software Engineer - positions offered by Ford Motor Company (Dearborn, Michigan). Note, this is a hybrid position whereby the employee will work both from home and from the Dearborn office. Hence, the employee must live within a reasonable commuting distance from Dearborn, MI. Assist with Enhancement/New Development Projects (including research, analysis, functional/technical specifications, formal testing, and deployment) and Operations Support (triage and resolution). Easily assimilate into the existing Global Team and will help to shape the future technical direction of the Application. Maintain accurate systems related documentation and adhere to coding standards in accordance with Ford Guidelines/Controls. Effectively engage in technical discussions within the Application Team and with other interfacing Applications. Navigate new, complex, and challenging technical situations (including SAP/S4 or similar Technology) with creative solutions. Bridge Legacy Mainframe Systems with new and leading-edge technology (SAP/S4 or similar). Build relationships with people, including Software Engineers and Product Owners. Develop technical solutions, lead, and guide small teams through complex technical situations.
