About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our Technology Enterprise Customer Experience, Remediations & Loudspeaker (TECRL) Team, supporting mission-critical test deliverables.
In this role, you will help define and implement the development and integration of advanced test automation solutions, leveraging the Wells Fargo Automation Framework (WAF) to ensure consistent, scalable, and maintainable quality practices across distributed data systems. You’ll drive shift-left testing strategies, embedding quality early in the development lifecycle and partnering closely with engineering, data, and business teams to validate complex data pipelines and services.
You will play a key role in building functional, regression and end-to-end automation. This includes integrating generative AI capabilities to enhance test coverage, accelerate defect detection, and improve overall engineering productivity.
This is a great opportunity for a hands-on automation leader with a strong foundation in Agile methodologies and a deep understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC). The ideal candidate will bring architectural insight, a passion for embedding quality throughout the development process, and a proven ability to drive innovation in test automation. A commitment to testing best practices, continuous improvement, and early defect prevention through shift-left strategies will be key to success in this role.
