The US Consumer Services and Digital Technology Team brings together foundational strategic technology capabilities in digital experience engineering (Mobile and Web), AI/ML, marketing technology, enterprise communications, travel and lifestyle, and automation, grounded in our data technology model that prioritizes data governance. It employs a ground-breaking focus with development responsibilities for customer-facing capabilities that deepen and expand digital engagement, as well as core technical capabilities that cut across business lines and customer segments. TLS is a unique line of business within American Express that offers card members access premium benefits for card members. Delivering that value is complex but vital for our cardmembers, and technology is at its center. **How will you make an impact in this role?** This role leads the design, development, testing, troubleshooting, debugging, deployment, documentation, reliability, and availability of software and systems that meet the needs of customer/agent-facing applications, business applications, and/or internal end-user tools and applications. **Minimum Qualifications** + Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer science engineering, or related experience required, advanced degree + 10 years of software development experience in a professional environment and/or comparable experience such as: Demonstrated experience in Agile development, application design, software development, and testing + Thorough understanding of XML, SOAP, JSON, web services technologies, and data structure fundamentals, with experience in multi-threaded programming + Experience with Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, SQL, Couchbase, Elastic Search, Kafka + Hands-on expertise with application design, software development and automated testing + RESTful API development experience + Experience with continuous integration/deployment (Jenkins, Maven, gradle, XLR, Cobertura, Mockito, SOAPUI, JMeter). + Experience with Java applications design and development in an Enterprise setting using Java, J2EE, node, Spring Boot, Relation DBMSs, NO SQL databases + Expertise in objected oriented analysis and design across a variety of platforms + Ability to effectively communicate to internal and external business partners on architecture and solution design + Expertise with HTML, CSS, AJAX, JavaScript Frameworks React and NodeJS **Preferred Qualifications** + Collaborates with leadership across multiple teams to define solution requirements and technical implementation Engineering & Architecture + Demonstrate technical expertise to help team members overcome technical problems + Solves technical problems outside of day-to-day responsibilities + Contributes to the success of many teams achieving their goal + Travel domain experience is a plus **Qualifications** Salary Range: $110,000.00 to $190,000.00 annually bonus benefits The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
