Overview

In this role, you can make an immediate impact for a Leading Global Technology Company, MasterCard. The Quality Engineer role is responsible for working with teams across the company to implement new data solutions while maintaining the stability of the platform. You will be responsible for assessing and testing technologies and approaches for ingestion, transformation and storage. In addition, you’ll work within the Fraud Data Engineering team to grow their knowledge and expertise. You will get the chance to work with extremely large data sets and be on the cutting edge of transforming the way MasterCard captures, processes, stores and visualizes transactional data.
Role
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
•\tDevelop both internal and external dashboards using Qlik
•\tWork closely with team members from across Mastercard to identify functional and system requirements
•\tExperience with full stack development with angular and web applications.
•\tDevelopment of UI based Qlik dashboards.
•\tAPI integration with cross functional components that interacts with Qlik and Web server.
•\tDesign, develop and implement datamarts with quality and integrity at the top of mind to support our products
•\tCreate documentation to support knowledge sharing; including flowcharts and diagrams
•\tProvide oversight and guidance to our Data Engineering development team
•\tRead and interpret conceptual, logical, and physical models
•\tUnderstand data modeling concepts and their application: entities and tables, relations and constraints, attribute data types and column data types

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
• BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
•\t3-5 years of experience using Qlik or related Business Intelligence technologies such as WebFocus, Tableau, PowerBI
•\tUI Experience with Angular
•\tDeep understanding of high-performant data concepts such as file stores, wide column databases, key-value pairs, etc.
•\tExcellent oral and written communication
•\tExcellent problem-solving skills
•\tHighly analytical with the ability to work independently

OTHER VALUABLE SKILLS
•\tPrior experience with; Hadoop, Kafka, Scala
•\tAgile/Scrum methodologies

In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay Ranges

O'Fallon, Missouri: $115,000 - $184,000 USD
