Unlock your ambition, turn ideas into world-changing realities, and join an organization where every voice makes a difference, and every difference builds a healthier world. **Job Description** **Roles and Responsibilities** In this role, you will: • Be responsible for defining, developing, and evolving software in a fast paced and agile development environment using the latest software development technologies and infrastructure • Provide technical leadership to an agile team of 5-7 • Translate requirements / vision into prioritized list of user stories and deliver to required timelines and quality standards • Work with product line leaders and architects to develop multi generation software technology plans • Drive increased efficiency across the teams, eliminating duplication, leveraging product and technology reuse • Support process improvements which guide the development, sustaining & support activities • Work cross functionally with other business departments to align activities and deliverables • Drive world-class quality in the development and support of products • Engage subject matter experts in successful transfer of complex domain knowledge • Apply principles of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques • Write code that meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project • Understand performance parameters and assess application performance • Work on core data structures and algorithms and implement them using technology chosen • Proactively share information across the team, to the right audience with the appropriate level of detail and timeliness • Demonstrate the ability to make informed technology choices after due diligence and impact assessment • Understand whole product, its modules and the interrelationship between them while being an expert in the assigned component or module • Help in designing interfaces and information exchange between modules • Be an expert in writing code that meets standards and delivers the desired functionality using the technology selected for the project • Drive design reviews, define interfaces between code modules, and applies existing technology to designs. Support the overall Imaging HUE roadmap. Conform to established roadmaps and influence platform directions • Be an expert in assessing application performance and optimizing/improving it through design and best coding practice **Education Qualification** + Bachelor's / Masters Degree in Computer Science / Software Engineering. **Desired Characteristics:** + With minimum 7 years of software design & development experience working with cross-functional teams in an industry environment. + Demonstrate proficiency in microservices with Java, springboot programming on Linux environment. + Demonstrate proficiency in design and software architecture including usage of UML + Work experience in Angular 12 version. + Knowledge in creating Automation Integration/Machine Learning applications in the healthcare domain + Aware of methods and practices such as Lean/Agile/Extreme Programming, etc. + Prior work experience in an agile environment, or introductory training on Lean/Agile. + Aware of and able to apply continuous integration (CI). + General understanding of the impacts of technology choice to the software development life cycle. **Inclusion and Diversity** GE Healthcare is an Equal Opportunity Employer where inclusion matters.
