At Danfoss, we prioritize your growth, impact, and well-being, empowering you to develop your expertise and make a real difference. **Job Responsibilities** As a **Senior Software Engineer** , you will collaborate with system control and hardware engineers to provide software knowledge. This position encompasses involvement across the full software development lifecycle, including new product development, implementation of change requests, and management of updates for products currently in the market. Your responsibilities include: + Developing embedded software solutions, application code and hardware drivers, including test specifications and test verification/automation + Use best practices and standards for automation, testing, quality assurance and release + Working with cross-functional teams and partners to deliver quality solutions on time. + Participate in agile events for planning, stand-ups, retrospectives and demos + Traveling 5–10 days per year to meet with customers, partners, and suppliers. **Background & Skills** At Danfoss, we believe that a diverse and inclusive workplace fosters creativity, innovation, and a broader perspective in decision-making. A bachelor's degree in software engineering, electronic engineering, or closely related discipline, along with a minimum of three years of relevant experience in software and mechatronic product design, is required for this position. Preferred qualifications include: + Proficient with software tools such as Git and Docker, and languages including C/C++, Python, and optionally Structured Text. + Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) + Familiarity with communication protocols such as Modbus, CAN, and Bluetooth. + Experience with controls development using Matlab/Simulink is a plus + Fluency in English with effective communication and collaboration skills. The position requires the ability to apply innovative thinking, problem-solving, systematic approaches, and a results-oriented mindset.
