As a Sr. Staff Engineer, you will lead software design, implementation, and delivery in the Connected Services organization's ambiguous and complex problem spaces. You will work with stakeholders across Stellantis, such as product and program management and UX teams. You will influence the technology decisions that drive future products and features directly affecting our growth in this critical space. Connected Services builds technology to enable always-connected and up-to-date services via regular over-the-air (OTA) updates, keeping vehicles fresh, exciting, and updated years after they have been built - 34 million connected Stellantis cars are expected by 2030. We work to provide a delightful and productive customer experiences and build a software services platform to enable the development of value-added customer services, subscriptions, and features on demand, to enable Stellantis' goal of generating 20 billion euros in software-related revenue by 2030.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure that solution architecture (functional and Technical) designed are in sync with OTA product portfolio requirements Liaise with System architect team to design solution architecture for xOTA tool chain Liaise with clients and business representatives to understand the needs of business inside the xOTA domain Ensure compliance to solution architectural design in the implementation of OTA projects for different Vehicle launches in the roadmap. Provide architectural guidance to the project management team Render consulting and technical support services on project implementation to the project team Designs, scalable software that work across all Stellantis vehicles Support the activities of the xOTA solution architecture team to ensure timely completion of projects Keep accurate record of materials used, expected deliverables, and milestones achieved Explain technical issues and IT solution strategies to stakeholders and other IT professionals Break down complex software projects into parallel work that you and other team can perform and then reassemble successfully into a cohesive launch Advise directors and principal engineers on technical direction for the organizations Ensure solution aligned with the data security and cybersecurity indications. Monitor the activities of external programmers or developers on IT solution projects Identify and mitigate existing business risk or risks associated with solution architecture Review the proposal of vendors and suppliers to ensure that quality inputs are delivered at the least possible costBasic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in building frameworks and applications in: Java languages and including: A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in system design A minimum of 5 years CI/CD: Jira Worked with Agile methodology. Strong problem solving and debugging skills Good written and oral communication skills and excellent problem-solving skills Ability to drive innovation and passion for learning new technologies Proven ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team
