Growing together.** **Software** **Engineer** **Lead** **is a senior level position** **work** **ing** **in a diverse environment** **to** **utilize their** **skills** **to** **lead** **across multiple teams** **.** **This role requires excellent programming, mentoring** **,** **and leadership skills** **which are used to help guide and** **mentor** **all levels** **of software engineers** **.** **The** **Software** **Engineer Lead** **has** **strong communication** **and technical abilit** **ies** **. In addition,** **critical** **,** **analytical** **and** **problem-solving** **skills are** **required** **to** **assist** **various teams and customer** **s** **with** **complex issues.** 1. Interpret business requirements and technical specification documents. Assist the teams to identify the gaps and opportunitiesfor improvement of Existing business requirements and technical specifications 1. Investigate, analyze and document reported software defects, Perform maintenance programming and correction of identified software defects 3. Collaborate with cross- functional teams to continuously improve code quality, development practices and processes. 4. Maintain Development Standards and Perform Critical Development and Release operations 5. Mentoring software engineer with development best practices 6. Collaborating with other departments to insure delivery of complex and integrated software features 7. Troubleshoot and debug complex technical issues and provide timely resolution to technical challenges 8 **.** Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback Technical skills + C# + C++ Restful API + Familiar with SQL Server and T-SQL + Familiar with Git/GitLab/GitHub + A mastery of and extensive experience with Object Oriented Design Patterns and their application in enterprise software applications + Extensive experience developing web services + Demonstrated leadership and mentoring abilities + Demonstrated ability of developing software components with no guidance + Ability to perform under pressure + Ability to deliver highly complexprojects in a timely manner + Must have a strong aptitude for programming and analytical thinking + Must have effective communication and interpersonal skills + Ability to interpret written requirements and technical specifications + Ability to write software code according to published standards and industry best practices + A commitment to quality + Demonstrated ability to lead acrossmultiple highly agile teams **EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS** + A Bachelor’s degree in a related field + At least five (8) years of professional experience developing software with .Net platform Or + A Master’s degree with at least three (5) years of professional experience in software development with the .NET programming language + Demonstrated knowledge of standard programming concepts, practices and algorithms _At UnitedHealth Group, our mission is to help people live healthier lives and make the health system work better for everyone.
