Position Overview:
 

Autodesk is seeking a passionate and skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our new Developers Tooling team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in server-side technologies and hands-on experience in full-stack development, with deep expertise in AWS technologies; hands-on experience in TypeScript/Node.js, Python, and/or Java; and a proven track record of delivering high-quality, scalable software solutions. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will help build, maintain, and support internal developer tools that streamline API publishing, and automate documentation delivery. These tools enhance engineering productivity and improve consistency across Autodesk.
 

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and deploy secure and scalable internal developer tooling, including APIs and CI/CD workflows, enhancing existing components as necessary to meet project requirements

Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and cross-functional partners to define, implement, and deliver features

Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code with a focus on reliability and performance

Contribute to architectural discussions and provide implementation input under the guidance of senior staff

Support and enhance CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins and Spinnaker

Contribute to observability and monitoring for internal services using tools such as Dynatrace and Splunk

Participate in on-call rotations to support production systems

Take end-to-end ownership of assigned features from design to deployment, collaborating closely with tech leads and peers
 

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field

5+ years of experience in software engineering, including building production applications on large-scale AWS cloud infrastructure (e.g., Lambda, DynamoDB, ECS, RDS, S3)

Proficiency in TypeScript and Python

Experience with Maven and Java Programming

Experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs and microservices

Solid understanding of CI/CD practices and experience with tools like Jenkins and Spinnaker

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases including RDS and DynamoDB

Knowledge of observability and monitoring tools such as Dynatrace and Splunk
