Senior Software Engineer, CloudFormation Provider Experience
Amazon.com
The CloudFormation Provider Experience team provides the services and tools that power the CloudFormation resource ecosystem, including Uluru and Cloud Control API.
The Uluru Platform consists of services, tools, and integrations that enable both internal AWS teams and external customers to create and manage resources. This platform, publicly known as the CloudFormation Registry, maintains resource definitions and manages the Lambda infrastructure that executes resource operations at scale. It consists of both services and libraries, such as the Resource Provider Development Kit (RPDK), the framework used by AWS service teams and third-party developers to build resource types that integrate with CloudFormation.
AWS Cloud Control API provides standardized APIs for creating, reading, updating, deleting, and listing (CRUDL) resources across AWS services. It powers tools like AWS Config and Security Hub by providing a consistent interface to AWS services. Our roadmap includes establishing Cloud Control API as the backend for all of CloudFormation. Third-party infrastructure as code tools like Terraform and Pulumi aim to deepen integrations with Cloud Control API for AWS resource management. (https://aws.amazon.com/cloudcontrolapi/)
As part of our team, you'll work on technology that impacts over 100,000 AWS customers who use CloudFormation for cloud environment management. You'll collaborate with service teams across AWS while building systems that define the future of cloud infrastructure management.
If you're interested in enabling AWS to move faster as a company by reducing the work required to integrate with CloudFormation at Amazon scale, talk to us!
Key job responsibilities
As a software development engineer on the team, you will:
* Seek to continually innovate and scale the services we build through researching technology choices, and owning the operational excellence of solutions.
* Collaborate closely with Amazon and AWS teams to continuously improve the CloudFormation integration experience
* Build highly available, secure systems that interact with customer data at scale
* Help continue to improve our (already good) operational story
* Mentor and support the growth of other developers.
* Write high-quality, extensible, testable code
