Senior Software Engineer, Autonomous Lifecycle Engineering
**Minimum qualifications:** + Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience. + 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages. + 3 years of experience with testing, maintaining, or launching software products. + 1 year of experience with software design and architecture. **Preferred qualifications:** + Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field. + 5 years of experience with data structures/algorithms. + 1 year of experience with leading design projects. + Experience with developing accessible technologies. + Experience in building software applications in the networking domain. + Ability to think, plan, and execute on multiple projects and lead efforts across disciplines. In this role, you will be building, measuring, reporting and managing health of the Google's worldwide network that includes the customer facing B2 network as well as Google’s private WAN B4. You will design distributed software systems to solve the network problems related to Install/Turn-Up/Activation/Capacity-expansion/Capacity-reduction/Decommissioning of different elements of the Google network.Google Cloud accelerates every organization’s ability to digitally transform its business and industry. Customers in more than 200 countries and territories turn to Google Cloud as their trusted partner to enable growth and solve their most critical business problems. **Responsibilities:** + Lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to select among available technologies. + Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency). + Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality. + Work in the collaboration of software engineering, distributed systems, network operations and capacity planning. + Design, develop and evolve software and services for safe network activations and ensure Operational Safety in delivering network capacity. Work with production network systems and health signal checkers (e.g., Orion SDN controller, Drain system, Modeling, Scopuli etc).
