**Job title:**
We are seeking a skilled Senior Software Development Engineer (Firmware) to join our multidisciplinary product development team. The successful candidate will design, develop, and validate embedded firmware for innovative oral care and personal health products, ensuring excellent product performance, reliability, and user experience.
**Your role:**
+ Develop, test, and maintain firmware for MCU-based embedded systems used in personal health medical devices
+ Implement and optimize firmware modules for motor control, sensors, user interface, BLE communication, and power management, ensure system performance and reliability
+ Responsible for firmware architecture design, documentation, and cybersecurity implementation to ensure reliable and safe operation
+ Collaborate closely with design, electrical, mechanical, software, and app development teams to define system requirements and integration plans.
+ Develop and debug user interface, Bluetooth or RFID etc. wireless communication modules, ensuring requirement implementation and robust connectivity and compliance.
+ Support app-level integration and validation testing, including writing test protocols.
+ Conduct root-cause analysis (RCA) and resolve firmware issues from development through mass production.
+ Participate in design reviews, DFx evaluations, and product qualification activities.
+ Support global collaboration and occasional travel to suppliers or manufacturing sites (up to 30%).
**You're the right fit if:**
+ Bachelor/Master’s degree or above in Computer Engineering, Electrical / Electronic Engineering, or related field, with at least 10 years of work experience in the consumer electronics or medical device industry.
+ Proficiency in software development tools (compilers, debuggers, version control such as Git).
+ Strong proficiency in C/C++ (and optionally assembly) for embedded MCU firmware development, with experience on 8-bit and 32-bit MCUs from both international and local brands.
+ Solid understanding of communication protocols such as UART, I²C, SPI, and hardware interfaces.
+ Hands-on experience with TI or ST Bluetooth stacks, including tuning and debugging.
+ Familiarity with (G)UI, data storage, RFID, and related domain firmware.
+ Experience in embedded cybersecurity principles and their practical implementation.
+ Experience in algorithm development (e.g., signal processing, control logic).
+ Sound knowledge of circuit design, with hands-on experience in PCBA soldering and circuit-level root cause analysis, and development equipment such as oscilloscopes, AC/DC power sources, and multi-meters.
+ Familiarity with Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) and task scheduling.
+ Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a strong sense of ownership.
+ Able to work independently and thrive in a multinational, cross-functional environment.
+ Proficient in Chinese and English, reading, writing and spoken.
+ Team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
+ Willingness to travel up to 30% as required.
**Preferred Qualifications (Optional)**
+ Knowledge of AI tools, Python for development and test automation or data analysis.
+ Knowledge or certified with ISO13485
