Senior Software Development Engineer Job Description _Join Grundfos and help shape the future of smart, sustainable water solutions. As part of our agile Connectivity team, you’ll be building the digital backbone of our smart, connected, digital products - solutions that enable business, matter globally, and support a sustainable future._ **What is the job about?** As a Software Developer in our self-organized agile teams in the Connectivity unit, you’ll work on embedded IoT systems that power our digital products across the globe. Your responsibilities will include: + Designing and developing embedded connectivity solutions. + Translating customer needs into robust, scalable, and secure systems. + Collaborating with stakeholders to build high-performance, future-ready platforms. + Maintaining and evolving embedded software and toolchains. + Enhancing our CI/CD pipeline and development practices. + Continuously improving system resilience, performance, and scalability. We’re looking for someone who’s passionate about software development - someone who enjoys defining, designing and refining implementations, boosting performance, and strengthening system robustness. As our digital solutions scale, your work will be key to elevating the maturity and reliability of our platforms. **Your background** We imagine that you have: + A degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. + Experience in software engineering with proficiency in C/C++, Python, or similar languages. + Experience developing task/thread-based embedded software. + Familiarity or experience with LTE, Wi-Fi, BLE, Thread, Matter, Ethernet (TCP, UDP, HTTPS, MQTT), Modbus, RS232/RS485. + Basic knowledge of PKI security technologies (X.509, TLS, SSL). + A collaborative mindset and strong communication skills in English. **Bonus Skills** : + Embedded systems, Linux and embedded computing experience. + Familiarity with Test-Driven and Behavior-Driven Development (TDD/BDD). + Knowledge of CMake or Gradle build systems. + Understanding of IoT systems development and distributed control. + Understanding of distributed control and predictive analytics. **About the Department:** The Connectivity Department at Grundfos is a cornerstone of our digital transformation, responsible for delivering embedded and edge computing solutions that enable smart, resilient, and sustainable products across all four Grundfos business divisions. We operate as part of GT&I (Group Technology & Innovation), with agile teams distributed across Denmark, India, and China.
