Key job responsibilities
Senior Software Development Engineer – AWS Commercial Application Services (EC2)

As a senior SDE, you'll work alongside leading builders, principal engineers, and business leaders to create new capabilities leveraging Agentic and Generative AI that provide enhanced experience for our customers, influence product strategy, define system architecture and technical roadmaps, spearhead best practices and be a leader in the design and delivery of new products that'll shape the future of the cloud. All team members actively participate in product definition, technical architecture reviews, iterative development, code review, and operations. Along with this, you’ll have the opportunity to interact with customers to understand and ensure their needs are met through AI-driven solutions. Clear, professional, verbal and written communication with teammates and customers is an important part of the job.

You will be inventing the foundation for the next phase of the products and beyond using Agentic and Generative AI frameworks. A commitment to teamwork, hustle, and strong communication skills (to both business and technical partners) are absolute requirements. Creating a reliable, scalable, and high-performance service requires exceptional technical expertise, a sound understanding of the fundamentals of Computer Science, and hands-on experience with AI/ML systems—paired with practical experience building large-scale distributed systems.

You should enjoy working on complex systems, be customer-centric, and have a proven track record of building exceptionally high-quality software that integrates AI capabilities and delights customers.
