Your Impact

Senior Software Engineer role for the People IT team is critical for us to meet and exceed the expectations of our business partners in HR space. The role supports this by leading and supporting a wide range of web applications, custom development, APIs and data as a service on technology stack like Java, Elastic, Kafka, Mulesoft, MongoDB, Oracle both On-prem and in Cloud. A great opportunity to interact directly with our business partners on a day-to-day basis and solving real world problems for them.

Requirement Analysis: Work closely with HR Partners to gather and analyze requirements for business needs. Conduct thorough business process analysis to see opportunities for improvement and efficiency.

Documentation: Build detailed and clear documentation, including business requirements, functional specifications, and use cases. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Communication and Collaboration: Act as a liaison between our partners and engineering team, ensuring clear and effective communication. Collaborate with developers, designers, and quality assurance teams to facilitate the successful delivery of software solutions.

Software Development/Maintenance: Build, test, deploy and maintain various applications supporting business processes and ensure data integrity within applications.

Continuous Improvement: Proactively find opportunities for process improvement and optimization. Stay informed about industry standard methodologies and technological advancements to contribute to the evolution of the application engineering process.

Minimum Qualifications :Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.8+ years of experience as a Software Developer or Software Engineer in an application engineering or software development environment.3+ years of experience working in Agile and/or Scrum teams.Expertise in creating and maintaining enterprise level integrations layer with APIs, microservices and data pipelinesDemonstrated ability to engage with business stakeholders and familiarity with market trends relevant to HR technology.
Preferred Qualifications :Experience with HR DomainExpertise in micro-services, integrations, APIs and data as a service developmentDatabase: MongoDB, Postgres, OracleAPI protocols: GraphQL, RESTBackends: Java (SprintBoot), Python, GolangExperience with GenAI, Agentic Coding and Prompt EngineeringUnderstanding of software development life cycle (SDLC).Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Superb communication and interpersonal skills.
