Job Description
As an Intermediate Ground Software Engineer/MTS, you will leverage your skills and experience to design, implement, maintain, and test modular, extendable, testable, and efficient software solutions. You will contribute to the development of web and AR/VR-based ground control software, simulators, and test tools to support the control of robotic arms, rovers, and other space robotics. In this role, you will lead complex subsystem designs and implementations, fostering the development of junior team members through mentorship and coaching.
Responsibilities
Design ground control software, simulators, and test tools for robotic systems in space.Develop intuitive and immersive user interfaces.Document and communicate designs effectively.Participate in the implementation and testing of software solutions.Review the work of teammates and mentor junior team members.Contribute to estimation efforts for new tasks.Collaborate with other staff and management to establish and enforce standards for coding, tools/environments, and processes.Perform other duties as assigned by management or team leads.Essential Skills
Minimum of 7 years of experience with Angular and C# ASP.NET.At least 3 years of experience in Test Driven Development.Experience with Object Oriented Design solutions and associated principles.Familiarity with Agile Development Environments and comfort working within them.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with React.js and Node.js is advantageous.Knowledge of ATDD, TDD, BDD is valued.Experience with continuous integration/build automation.Proficiency in Python is an asset.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.A degree in Software, Computer, or Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.Work Environment
This position requires working regular hours, 40 hours per week, with a minimum of three days in the office (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday). The dress code is business casual, aiming to present well during customer meetings. The work environment is collaborative, with collegial teams where members are encouraged to review and support each other. The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $70.00/hr.
