KBR is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Build/Configuration Management Engineer to join our Airborne Electronic Attack (AEA) Integrated Project Team (IPT) at the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD) in NAS Point Mugu, CA.
Full time, on site position. In this role, you will lead configuration management activities for mission-critical software, including build creation, installation packaging, and deployment to operational systems. You will document software changes and known defects through detailed Software Version Descriptions (SVDs) while collaborating closely with project managers, developers, and testers.
Roles and Responsibilities
Manage software configuration repositories, establish and document branching practices, and communicate them to the team.Utilize Agile tools and methodologies to document PI plans, define sprint goals, and track progress through sprint and Kanban boards.Perform preliminary software smoke testing and high-level functional testing to validate builds.Write and maintain Software Version Descriptions (SVDs) documenting changes, known issues, and version history.Create and update InstallShield project files for software and database installations, including debugging installers.Set up and assist engineers with downloading, configuring, and operating virtual machines (VMs).Coordinate sprint deliveries with CI/CD release schedules for timely deployment.Document processes, identify improvement opportunities, and recommend enhancements.Basic Qualifications
Clearance & Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship and active DoD Secret Security Clearance.Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.Experience: Ten (10) years of experiencePreferred Qualifications
SAFe® Scaled Agile for Enterprise v4.6 or later certification.Experience with Agile planning/tracking tools (Azure DevOps, Atlassian Jira).Experience with CI/CD pipeline configuration using YAML and/or JSON.InstallShield® Professional 2022 or later, including InstallScript coding.Automation scripting experience (bash, DOS, Python).Employment is contingent upon final program funding.

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 hours/week
Basic Compensation: $131,000-$181,000. The salary range posted is based on the national average. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s location, knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience, contract affordability, and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation: KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
