What are my responsibilities?• Contribution to solutions architectures, requirements elicitation and development processes improvement• Producing high quality project deliverables within planned time and effort• Drive the overall enterprise, system, and integration architecture of our portfolio• Together with product management, product owners, and R&D management, establish and drive technical and reuse strategies.• Work with your architect peers and development teams in an international and distributed setup to drive and guide software system architecture.• Drive system-wide and cross-cutting architectural decisions based on relevant alternatives and adequately document and review them.• Mentor development team members and junior architects to help them build empowered teams.• Conforming to Siemens processes, quality standards and guidelines
What do I need to qualify for this job?• BSc., MSc. or PhD. in computer science or a related areas• Proven 10+ years of experience in software development• Expert knowledge in various frameworks and languages (e.g. C, C++, GoLang, Python, Shell,..)• In-depth understanding of Linux Kernel, OS internals, open source development, tools, libraries• Familiar with Yocto, BitBake recipes and kas configuration tool• Hands on experience contributing to Open-Source Linux projects e.g Isar, Elbe, Yocto Project, Buildroot• Knowledge in partitioning system structure and details• Expertise in containerization and networking is a strong plus• Familiar in using git-based repositories and CI/CD systems.• Knowledge and experience in SCRUM, Agile processes• Very good command of English (German is a plus)• Strong problem solving and analytical skills• Having strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills are a must.• No restriction for travelling abroad
