Your Role

We’re looking for a Senior Social Media Specialist with a deep understanding of social strategy (with an emphasis on Instagram), native content creation, and community engagement. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in the fast-paced world of social media, has a strong creative vision, and knows how to translate insights into compelling content that resonates with audiences.

As an experienced strategist and content creator, you’ll be responsible for developing and executing Instagram-first initiatives that drive engagement, brand awareness, and community growth. You’ll report to the Social Media Manager and collaborate closely with creative teams, PR teams, and marketing partners to bring innovative ideas to life. This role also requires the ability to develop strategic plans, build presentations, and clearly communicate data-driven recommendations to key stakeholders.

Your Impact

 

Instagram Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement platform-specific strategies to grow our audience, increase engagement, and drive brand objectives across Feed, Reels, and Stories.

Platform Expansion: Support in management of growth platforms, such as Pinterest (others TBD)

Strategic Planning & Presentations: Create and present social media strategies, content plans, and campaign reports to internal teams, showcasing insights, opportunities, and recommendations.

Content Calendar Ownership: Own and manage the day-to-day Instagram content calendar, ensuring alignment with brand campaigns, product launches, and cultural moments.

Data-Driven Optimization: Analyze content performance and translate insights into actionable recommendations to continuously improve engagement and reach.

Reporting & Insights: Regularly track and report on Instagram performance, using data to inform future strategies and optimize content effectiveness.

Collaboration & Partnerships: Work cross-functionally with brand marketing, creative teams, and PR teams to develop and execute social content that aligns with the VS brand identity.

Trendspotting & Innovation: Stay ahead of Instagram trends, algorithm updates, and emerging formats to keep our content fresh and competitive. Monitor and pattern for opportunities to inform our content plans.

Native Content Creation Support: Support as needed with concept, capture, and edit real-time, trend-driven Instagram content, including Reels, Stories, and in-feed posts, ensuring they feel organic to the platform.

Real-Time Content & Social Listening: Capture content at brand events, product launches, and cultural moments, ensuring we’re engaging with timely, relevant conversations.

Community Management: Keep a finger on the pulse of the Instagram community both within our comments section and across the broader platform. Actively engage in relevant conversations.

Brand Voice Stewardship: Ensure all social content maintains a consistent tone of voice and visual identity that reflects our customer

Scheduling & Posting: Schedule and post content for all owned social channels.

Minimum Salary: $96,800.00
Maximum Salary: $132,195.00

VS&Co provides a range of compensation for this role as shown. Your actual salary will be determined by a number of factors, including: your specific skills and experience, geographic region, or other relevant factors.

Qualifications

Your Experience

3-5 years of experience in a social media role with a focus on Instagram.

Proven success in creating native social content that drives engagement and resonates with audiences.

Strong understanding of Instagram algorithms, analytics, and best practices for content performance.

Strong analytical skills—comfortable reviewing performance metrics, making data-informed decisions, and reporting those out.

Experience in creating strategic presentations and effectively communicating ideas to stakeholders.

Ability to ideate, shoot, and edit social-first, native content (ex: Reels, Stories, behind-the-scenes footage).

Excellent writing skills with an ability to craft engaging stories and community responses in an on-brand voice.

Experience with social media management and analytics tools, such as Dash Hudson

Passion for social media trends and a natural ability to spot viral moments.
