**Koniag Management Solutions,** a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Senior SOC Chief with a Top-Secret clearance to support **KMS** and our government customer in Washington, DC. _This position is for a Future New Business Opportunity._

Koniag Management Solutions, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Senior SOC Chief to lead 24x7x365 Security Operations Center services for federal government systems.
**Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include but are not limited to:**
The SOC Chief will serve as the primary incident commander and oversee all SOC operations, ensuring continuous monitoring, detection, analysis, and response to cybersecurity events. Key responsibilities include:
+ Lead SOC operations and incident response activities
+ Oversee Tier 1, 2, and 3 cybersecurity analysts
+ Manage incident response and escalation procedures
+ Direct security monitoring and analysis activities
+ Coordinate with federal partners and stakeholders
+ Develop and maintain SOC policies and procedures
+ Oversee creation and updates of cyber defense playbooks
+ Manage SOC staff scheduling and performance
+ Ensure compliance with federal security requirements
+ Conduct gap analysis and risk assessments
+ Maintain incident response metrics and reporting
+ Lead strategic SOC planning and improvement initiatives
**Education and Experience:**
**Required:**
+ 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations
+ Active Top Secret clearance
+ Demonstrated leadership experience in SOC operations
+ Experience with federal incident response requirements
**Required Skills and Competencies:**
+ Expert knowledge of security operations and incident response
+ Strong understanding of NIST 800-61 requirements
+ Experience managing SOC teams and operations
+ Expertise in cyber threat detection and analysis
+ Strong project management capabilities
+ Excellence in stakeholder communication
+ Knowledge of federal security requirements
+ Experience with security tools and technologies
+ Strong leadership and team management skills
+ Ability to manage crisis situations
+ Experience with risk management
+ Proficiency in performance metrics and reporting
**Desired Skills and Competencies:**
+ Bachelor's or Master's degree in related field
+ Security certifications (e.g. CISSP, CISM, GCIH)
+ Experience with automation and orchestration
+ Knowledge of threat intelligence
+ Expertise in security architecture
+ Experience with SIEM platforms
+ Background in cyber defense operations
+ Understanding of zero trust principles
+ Experience with federal systems
+ Knowledge of emerging security threats
+ Proven track record in incident management
+ This position requires 24x7x365 availability and may include on-call responsibilities for critical incidents.
