Koniag Management Solutions, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Senior Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) Engineer to design and implement security information and event management solutions for federal government systems. **Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include but are not limited to:** The Senior SIEM Engineer will lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise SIEM and security monitoring solutions while ensuring integration with existing security tools. Key responsibilities include: + Design and implement SIEM solutions and dashboards + Develop security monitoring capabilities using enterprise tools + Create and maintain security metrics and reporting + Configure and optimize security tools integration + Design and implement secure system interfaces + Develop security testing and validation procedures + Create detailed technical documentation + Perform security architecture reviews + Implement vulnerability management solutions + Configure and maintain enterprise security tools + Design and implement security measures + Conduct gap analysis and architecture assessments **Education and Experience:** **Required:** + Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field, OR 7+ years of experience in SIEM engineering + Active Top-Secret clearance required + Network engineering certification and/or industry certifications (e.g. Security+, CISSP) + Experience with enterprise SIEM platforms **Required Skills and Competencies:** + Expert knowledge of SIEM technologies (Splunk preferred) + Experience with security tools (Tenable Nessus, WebInspect, BigFix) + Strong understanding of eGRC solutions + Expertise in dashboard development + Knowledge of security metrics and reporting + Experience with vulnerability management + Proficiency in system interface design + Strong technical documentation skills + Understanding of security architecture + Experience with security testing + Knowledge of federal security requirements + Expertise in log management and analysis **Desired Skills and Competencies:** + Master's degree in related field + Additional security certifications + Experience with automation and orchestration + Knowledge of threat hunting methodologies + Expertise in incident response + Experience with machine learning/AI for security + Background in security analytics + Understanding of cloud security monitoring + Experience with API integration + Knowledge of emerging security technologies + Proven track record in SIEM implementation + This position requires occasional after-hours work to support critical security implementations and incident response activities. **Our Equal Employment Opportunity Policy** The company is an equal opportunity employer.
