We are currently recruiting a Senior Systems and Safety Assurance Engineer to work on major rail signalling programs on the west coast. The company has a history of working on some of the country’s most prestigious, city-shaping rail and infrastructure projects such as Digital Systems, Sydney Metro and many others. You will be afforded the opportunity to work both on delivery and client-side on various rail programs.
Experience working a Safety Assurance Engineer on signalling projects is required, with strong favourability to those with modern signalling experience such as ETCS or CBTC. Exposure to Communications systems is desirable also.
Location- Perth, WA
Duration- Permanent, Monday-Friday
Salary- $150,000 - $190,000 + Super

Responsibilities Producing works associated with Systems Engineering and Safety assurance including but not limited to: Safety Assurance Systems Engineering Requirements Management System Architecture development Goal Structured Notation Systems Integration Develop Safety Case Reports, Assurance plans, Hazard/Safety Analyses Conduct requirements verification and develop test cases and procedures. Assist in Tender preparation Display a deep understanding of safety assurance in the context of conventional or modern signalling systems, working with a range of OEMs and operators. Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards incl. EN 50126/8/9 ISO 15288 or; AS61508 Confidently engage with internal and external stakeholders including operators, government, contractors
Required Experience Bachelors Engineering – Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronics/Civil or similar 8+ years’ experience in Systems Engineering posts, ideally within signalling projects. Prior use of Requirements Management tools such as DOORS Classic or NG Commercial / Consultative acumen – confident in communication Basic understanding of Rail Safety National Law, EN5012x Sound knowledge of principles associated with the INCOSE Systems Engineering Handbook or iESM Handbook
