Boeing Commercial Airlines has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Service Related Problem Project Engineer to join our 787 Fleet Chief Office team located in Seal Beach, California.
This role will take ownership of resolving a portfolio of complex in-service issues, known as Service Related Problems (SRP). As a member of the BCA Customer Support organization, your mission will be to lead cross organizational teams through timely and first-time quality resolutions of the safety and top economic issues associated with our 787 fleet. In this role, you will have the opportunity to help resolve systems, structures, and operational issues across the entire airplane as well as interact with customers, suppliers, and expert engineers and leadership throughout BCA.
Position Responsibilities:
Provided technical leadership to a team representing multiple skill areas, which may include internal and external resources and customersDevelops Statement of Work (SOW) to satisfy research and development, ongoing and new business requirementsBuilds and actively manages integrated project schedules on multiple projects using project/program management best practicesPresent to internal and external customers as needed to gain advocacy, authority to proceed, and/or share progress.Responds to changes to SOW, assesses the impact and negotiates proposed changes to determine modifications to the deliverables, resources, costs and schedules.Identifies and manages to business performance metrics and targetsPlans, identifies, and coordinates resources required over the life of the project or program.Defines plans for risk/issue mitigation and opportunity captureCompares actual results to baseline plan to assess project performance, efficiencies, productivity and lessons learnedProvides technical, business and integration leadership for the development and execution of project or team plansWorks under general supervisionThis position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work on-site at one of the listed location options.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science3+ year(s) experience leading/managing technical projects3+ year(s) experience leading cross functional teams or projectsMust be willing to support occasional non-standard working hours as needed to engage with global customers or stakeholdersPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Project Management Certification (ex. PMP)Experience building and managing to integrated project plans, schedules and/or budgetsExperience working with commercial airplane systems or structures disciplines within design, maintenance or service engineeringDrug Free Workplace:

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary Pay Range: $122,400 - $165,600
