Job Summary
The Senior Service Engineer will be responsible for service, maintenance, troubleshooting, and commissioning of Air\u2011Cooled and Water\u2011Cooled Chiller systems in data centre environments. The role also includes supporting and executing data centre HVAC projects, ensuring timely delivery, quality compliance, and seamless customer communication. This position requires deep technical expertise in chiller operations, system optimization, and data centre cooling infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
\u2022 Perform service, preventive maintenance, and corrective actions on Air\u2011Cooled and Water\u2011Cooled Chillers, including screw, scroll, and centrifugal systems.
\u2022 Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control-related issues in chiller and HVAC systems.
\u2022 Conduct chiller start-up, commissioning, performance testing, and system optimization.
\u2022 Manage site execution for data center cooling projects, including planning, installation oversight, and coordination with contractors and OEM teams.
\u2022 Support upgrades, retrofits, and energy\u2011efficiency improvements in existing data centre cooling infrastructure.
\u2022 Review technical drawings, submittals, and project documents for accuracy and compliance.
\u2022 Maintain detailed service reports, performance logs, and documentation for all equipment.
\u2022 Ensure strict adherence to safety standards, regulatory requirements, and customer operational protocols.
\u2022 Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.
\u2022 Interface with customers regularly to provide updates, clarify technical issues, and ensure completion of service and project tasks.
\u2022 Participate in root\u2011cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions for recurring issues.
\u2022 Coordinate with internal teams (sales, project management, engineering) for seamless service and project delivery.

\u2022 Timely submission of Root cause analysis & 8D reports to customers

\u2022 Willing to work in Shift available to work on Holidays & public holidays to meet agreed SLA

\u2022 Monthly MOR, Quarterly QBR meetings required to be attended with DC customers

Required Qualifications & Skills
\u2022 Diploma or Bachelor\u2019s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or relevant technical field.
\u2022 5\u201310 years of hands-on experience servicing Air\u2011Cooled and Water\u2011Cooled Chillers, preferably in data centre applications.
\u2022 Strong knowledge of refrigeration cycles, HVAC controls, BMS/EMS integration, and cooling redundancy concepts.
\u2022 Experience in project execution, installation supervision, and commissioning of HVAC equipment.
\u2022 Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, P&IDs, and equipment manuals.
\u2022 Proficient in diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and control faults using service tools and diagnostic software.
\u2022 Strong customer communication skills and ability to work in critical data centre environments.
\u2022 Familiarity with safety standards and industry best practices.
\u2022 Good problem\u2011solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications
\u2022 Experience with mission\u2011critical data centres or large industrial cooling systems.
\u2022 OEM-specific chiller training or certifications (e.g., Trane, Carrier, Daikin).
\u2022 Knowledge of energy\u2011efficiency programs, retrofits, and system performance optimization.
\u2022 Project management experience or certification is a plus.
