Trane is excited to offer an opportunity for a dedicated and skilled **Service Technician – Chillers & HVAC** to join our team. In this hands-on and customer-facing role, you will:
1. **Work with Advanced HVAC & Chiller Technologies** • Commission, service, and repair a wide range of chillers and HVAC systems.
2. **Develop Technical Excellence** • Strengthen your expertise in chiller systems, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.
3. **Engage with Customers & Drive Satisfaction** • Conduct customer follow-ups, attend scheduled meetings, and ensure quality completion of service tasks.
4. **Collaborate with a High‑Performance Team** • Work closely with service coordinators, managers, and field colleagues for smooth operations.
5. **Contribute to Operational Efficiency & Safety** • Participate in weekly team discussions, uphold EHS compliance, and support ongoing improvements.

**Where is the work: Chennai**
**What will you do:**
As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for high‑quality commissioning, servicing, and customer support for chiller and HVAC systems. Your responsibilities include:
• Commissioning of chillers and HVAC systems.
• Repairing all types of HVAC equipment.
• Conducting customer follow-ups and attending scheduled meetings.
• Managing team coordination and supporting the service coordinator for manpower planning and parts requirements.
• Leading weekly team meetings on safety, site audits, and backlog updates.
• Updating the Service Manager and Coordinator with monthly plans.
• Handling service and commissioning of all chiller models and low-side equipment as per guidelines.
• Performing timely PPM activities for chillers as per company SOPs.
• Conducting root cause analysis for failures and sharing results with the Quality team and FFL.
• Ensuring compliance with EHS guidelines.
• Managing all customer service requirements and providing timely resolution.
• Generating leads during service interactions.
• Ensuring high-quality job execution and on-time completion of all tasks.
• Submitting daily reports to the office and ASM.
• Sharing service reports with the deployer, including parts requirements.
• Maintaining a valid 4-wheeler/2-wheeler driving license.
• Following all safety and vehicle audit requirements diligently.
• Applying hands-on experience in chiller installation, warranty activities, and AMC services.
• Using MS Office, email, and internet tools to complete documentation and reporting.
**What you will bring: (Skills & Competencies)**
• Strong technical knowledge of chillers and HVAC systems.
• Hands-on experience in commissioning, servicing, and troubleshooting chillers.
• Ability to manage customer interactions professionally.
• Basic proficiency in MS Office, email, and internet applications.
• Strong understanding of EHS guidelines and safety requirements.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate within a field team.
**Qualification:**
• Minimum Graduation, Diploma, or ITI in Mechanical, R&AC, Electrical, or Electronics.
• Minimum 5+ years of on-site experience working with chillers.
• Strong technical knowledge and practical experience with chiller systems.
