About the RoleAs a Senior Security Engineer - PAM at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. in Frederick, you'll play a key role in crafting our PAM strategy, driving global transformation.
Position OverviewIn this role, you will serve as the main authority on PAM initiatives, coordinating objectives as a driving force of spirit for the team. You will mentor team members, represent PAM initiatives across multi-functional projects, and challenge existing practices to drive cultural change.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic PAM Leadership & SME Functions
Own and drive PAM strategy for enterprise-wide privileged access domainsServe as primary SME for PAM tooling optimization and secrets hardeningDevelop and implement annual PAM objectives aligned with organizational goalsLead multi-functional PAM initiatives and represent the team in enterprise-wide projectsEmbody team strategy development for PAM functional areasTransformation & Organizational ChangeFunction as an internal PAM transformation consultantChallenge existing paradigms around secrets managementDevelop strategic leverage points to drive adoption of PAM proceduresBuild compelling arguments for PAM investmentsDesign strategies to overcome project resistanceTechnical Operations & AutomationArchitect and implement PAM solutionsImplement telemetry to evaluate PAM program efficiencyCraft and maintain enterprise-level privileged access controlsDrive automation initiatives for PAM tasks and compliance reportingLead comprehensive risk assessments and develop mitigation strategiesLeadership & MentorshipTrain and mentor team members on standard methodologies for PAMLead team operations during leadership absenceEvaluate and challenge PAM initiatives and projectsProvide technical mentorship to peers and junior staffCommunication & Collaborator ManagementSimplify PAM concepts for non-technical audiencesDevelop and present PAM materials to executive leadershipBuild strong multi-functional relationships across IT and business unitsProactively communicate PAM posture updatesRequired QualificationsEducation & Certifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related fieldPAM certifications required: CyberArk Certified Delivery Engineer, BeyondTrust Certified ProfessionalAdditional security certifications preferred: CISSP, CISM, GSECExperience6+ years of enterprise security experience passionate about PAM4+ years of hands-on PAM operations experience in large-scale environments3+ years of demonstrated leadership in PAM implementationsProven track record of driving PAM process improvementsTechnical SkillsExpert-level knowledge of PAM principles and frameworksProficiency in PAM platforms and automationExperience with directory services and identity managementAbility to architect tool-agnostic PAM solutionsExperience with cloud PAM and DevOps integrationWhat We OfferJoin our organization and orchestrate PAM transformation across our global enterprise. Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in Maryland is $143,000.00–$214,475.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
