About the RoleAt Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., we are seeking a driven and highly skilled Senior Security Engineer - PAM to join our team in India. This role is pivotal in redefining privileged access management (PAM) across our expansive global organization. As a Senior Security Engineer of PAM, you will act as an authority, challenging existing practices and leading the charge toward PAM implementation.
Position OverviewAs the primary SME for PAM initiatives, you will operate with high independence, leading complex objectives and driving cultural change. Your role will involve developing innovative solutions, mentoring team members, and representing PAM projects across various functions.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic PAM Leadership & SME Functions
Own and drive PAM strategy for enterprise-wide privileged access domains and secrets management initiativesServe as primary SME for PAM tooling optimization, secrets hardening, and enterprise-scale deploymentDevelop and implement annual PAM objectives aligned with PMD goalsLead multi-functional PAM initiatives and represent the team in enterprise-wide security projectsCommunication & Collaborator ManagementSimplify PAM concepts for non-technical audiencesDevelop and present PAM materials and strategic recommendationsBuild and own strong multi-functional relationships across IT and business unitsProactively communicate PAM posture updates to collaboratorsRequired QualificationsEducation & Certifications
Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent experienceAdvanced PAM certifications required: CyberArk Certified Delivery Engineer, BeyondTrust Certified Professional, or equivalentAdditional security certifications preferred: CISSP, CISM, GSECExperience6+ years of enterprise security experience with focus on PAM4+ years of hands-on PAM operations experience in large-scale environments3+ years of demonstrated leadership in complex PAM implementationsTrack record of driving PAM process improvementsTechnical SkillsExpert-level knowledge of PAM principles and privileged access security frameworksAdvanced proficiency in enterprise PAM platforms and secrets rotation automationStrong experience with directory services and identity management integrationAbility to architect tool-agnostic PAM solutionsExperience with cloud PAM and infrastructure automationLeadership & Consulting SkillsOutstanding influence and persuasion abilitiesCritical thinking and problem-solving skillsStrong consulting and advisory skillsExcellent verbal abilitiesProven mentorship and training capabilitiesCultural change leadership experienceSpecialized ProficienciesDeep understanding of threats to privileged accounts in large-scale environmentsExperience with regulatory compliance requirements related to PAMKnowledge of threat modeling and risk assessment methodologiesFamiliarity with DevSecOps practices and automated PAM integrationUnderstanding of zero trust architecture principlesWhat We OfferJoin our world-class organization and lead PAM transformation across our global enterprise.
