Purpose

Our team is seeking an experienced technologist to join our Cybersecurity team. This Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing micro-segmentation strategies using advanced solutions to enhance network security within the organization's data centres, remote offices and cloud environments. This role involves collaborating with networking, and application teams to segment and protect critical assets, reduce attack surfaces, and improve threat detection and response capabilities.

Responsibilities:

Design and implement micro-segmentation policies and strategies using Akamai Guardicore platformCollaborate with cross-functional teams to identify critical applications and workloads requiring segmentationAnalyse network traffic flows and dependencies to develop effective segmentation rulesDeploy and manage Guardicore agents across servers and virtual machines in various environmentsMonitor and fine-tune segmentation policies to minimize operational impact while maximizing securityRespond to security incidents by leveraging micro-segmentation insights to contain threatsDevelop documentation, runbooks, and best practices for micro-segmentation deployment and managementProvide training and support to IT and security teams on Guardicore micro-segmentationWork directly with application team / Digital  to diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues involving DDoS mitigation, firewall rules, SSL/TLS, network confirmation, and other security configurationsCreate and maintain knowledge base articles, technical guides, and troubleshooting documentationCompare traffic signatures and attributes including IP addresses, cookie variations, HTTP headers, and JavaScript footprints to determine what is good traffic and what is maliciousDDoS mitigation review and fine-tuning for enterprise applicationsWork with Application / Product teams to improve L7 Security and overall website access experience

Qualifications

Qualification:

Education & Skill

Bachelor’s / Master's degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics. Computer Science or Cyber Security or equivalent experience.Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP)Familiarity with Linux and Windows server environmentsExperience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google CloudScripting skills for automation (e.g., Python, PowerShell)Relevant certifications (PCNSE, ZCCA-IA, CISSP, CCSP, etc.)Understanding of zero trust security modelsGood analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skillsAbility to work effectively in a team environment and contribute to collective success

Work Expérience :

5-7 years of minimum experience in Network Security Domain, having implemented zero trust solutions, micro-segmentation based technologiesStrong understanding of network security principles, firewalls, and segmentationKnowledge of data center and cloud network architectures.Familiarity with Linux and Windows server environmentsAbility to analyze network traffic and create detailed segmentation policiesFamiliarity with routing and switching concepts and equipmentUnderstanding of Guardicore Centra platform and API concepts, including integration and automation
