Senior SDE, AWS Redshift
We are actively hiring a talented Senior Software Engineer for the Control Plane team of Redshift. The Control Plane is at the heart of Redshift's cluster orchestration and management infrastructure, responsible for the systems that govern cluster lifecycle, administrative workflows, availability, and the operational backbone that keeps Redshift running reliably at global scale.

Key job responsibilities
As a Senior Software Development Engineer in the Redshift Control Plane, you will build and evolve the foundational systems that orchestrate and manage Redshift clusters at global scale. You will take significant ownership of the overall product vision — defining new features and shaping the architecture of core control plane services including cluster lifecycle management, administrative workflows, data management operations, and availability systems.

You will distill complex and ambiguous requirements into well-scoped, high-impact projects that deliver meaningful value to customers ranging from Fortune 500 enterprises to fast-growing startups. You will own end-to-end deliverables across the full development lifecycle: design, development, deployment, monitoring, and operations.

You will lead engineers on substantial projects — driving technical direction, raising the bar on code quality and operational excellence, and growing a high-performing team through active mentoring and hiring.

This is a unique opportunity to work at the heart of one of AWS's most widely adopted analytical services, directly influencing the reliability, scalability, and performance of infrastructure that powers analytical workloads worldwide. You will bring deep technical, algorithmic, and systems expertise, with the ability to thrive in a fast-moving, collaborative environment and deliver broad business impact.
