Senior Scrum Master
Position Description:

This role is hybrid and requires you to be at our downtown Toronto and/or Client office at a minimum 4 days per week - subject to change at any time. 

Team that focuses on developing and implementing payment solutions and technologies to support the bank's global payment operations. They work on designing, building, and maintaining payment systems, infrastructure, and applications to enable secure, efficient, and reliable payment processing for customers.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Scrum Master to lead and coordinate the delivery of complex projects and programs. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and coaching Agile teams, facilitating Scrum ceremonies, and ensuring the adoption of Agile principles and practices. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for managing project schedules, budgets/financial allocations, and risks. The Senior Scrum Master will lead projects from initiation to implementation, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of desired business results while maintaining high-quality standards and stakeholder satisfaction

Your future duties and responsibilities:

.    Lead projects from project initiation to implementation, focusing on delivering business outcomes that meet or exceed expectations 
.    Lead and coach Agile teams, facilitate Scrum ceremonies, such as Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective
.    Manage project plans, status reports, budgets, and allocations to ensure timely and within-budget delivery of project goals and objectives
.    Collaborate and facilitate communication with cross-functional teams, including technology, business, and platform stakeholders, to achieve shared goals
.    Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, and develop contingency plans as needed 
.    Facilitate the adoption of Agile principles and practices, including Scrum, Kanban, and Lean
.    Develop and implement Agile strategies, processes, and practices to improve team efficiency and effectiveness
.    Develop and maintain metrics to measure project performance, and provide insights to stakeholders
.    Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and standards

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Must have
.    10+ years of experience delivering medium to large software projects ($3.0 MM to $7.0 MM) including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and allocations
.    5+ years of relevant experience in payments technology or a related field 
.    5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar role, with a strong background in Agile principles and practices
.    Excellent verbal and written communication, facilitation, and coaching skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas simply and effectively 
.    Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple stakeholders and priorities
.    Ability to manage project and business risks, including project interdependencies, and resolve issues effectively
.    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex problems and provide creative solutions
Nice-to-have:  
.    Previous experience delivering payments initiatives within Canada and US, focused on low value payments, RTR, eTransfer or any other Interac products  
.    Experience with DevOps practices, including continuous integration and continuous deployment
.    Knowledge of payments technology, and experience working with cross-functional teams
.    Experience with Agile methodologies or other project management frameworks is an asset
