Position Specific Description

This position serves as a Project Team Manager and Agile facilitator, planning, managing team budgets, and executing complex digital transformation projects according to schedule and within budget. The Senior Scrum Master acquires resources and coordinates cross-functional team efforts—including third-party contractors and consultants—to deliver high-quality customer experiences through FPL.com platforms. This role defines project objectives, oversees quality control throughout the project lifecycle, and ensures adherence to DEE processes and operational excellence standards.

Agile Leadership & Project Management

Lead large-scale initiatives across FPL.com development teams while mentoring junior Scrum Masters Liaison between Product Owners, development teams, and business stakeholders across multiple vendor relationships Coach teams toward self-organization and cross-functional excellence through Lean-Agile practices Guide teams through change management process, DEE workflow requirements, and Transition to Support expectations Facilitate PI planning team preparation, identify cross-team dependencies, and coordinate release activities Remove impediments and shield teams from external distractions while ensuring storm continuity planning Champion employee engagement objectives and continuous learning initiatives across IT teams Drive unified team operations and shared outcomes mindset

Financial & Portfolio Management

Manage complex funded projects alongside unfunded mandated work, maintaining budget variance Collaborate in BU/Velocity portfolio development and facilitate estimation processes for capital and operational projects Coordinate cloud cost optimization through appropriate scoping and provisioning of new components Track time invested in support activities for proper resource allocation and early detection of project impacts Ensure project delivery aligns with objectives and operational requirements

Technical Operations & Process Excellence

Lead process improvements and lessons learned initiatives while adhering to DEE processes including TRBs, Code Reviews, LEM, and Release Management Ensure continuity of project development during storm events and execute storm testing scenarios Manage key Agile metrics: Say Do Metrics, Story Points, Velocity Charts, Scope Change tracking, Sprint Health, Burndown Charts Support DevSecOps standards for implementations Coordinate environment movements, defect handling, and production support activities with technical leads Lead digital transformation initiatives involving coordination with multiple FPLS IT teams and Product Owners Guide junior Scrum Masters and newly onboarded contractor teams on DEE processes and best practices Responsible for complete IT business process through delivery

Preferred Experience

Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field Strong experience with customer service or FPL.com customer-facing applications Strong experience with FPL IT implementations and Agile processes Experience with scaled agile framework practices Proven track record coaching cross-functional teams and facilitating agile ceremonies Experience with Jira administration and agile project management tools

Job Duties & Responsibilities Organizes and facilitates work planning, daily stand-up meetings, reviews, retrospectives, and sprint and release planning Facilitates collaboration for both internal and external teams, resolving conflict, removing impediments, and reducing external dependencies Coaches team members and stakeholders in preparation for Scrum ceremonies and events and in goal attainment Coaches team in Agile sizing techniques, makes appropriate and realistic commitments, and works closely with Product Owners Uses the Collaborative Lifecycle Management (CLM) tool to prepare, communicate, and share team metrics and delivery results Creates a product roadmap, coaches the writing of value-driven user stories, features, and epics, and maintains a well-refined backlog Provides regular feedback to the Agile Transformation Team about new insights and lessons learned from team experiences Embraces servant leadership and displays behaviors that come with the key mindset shifts associated with being Agile Keeps informed and educated about industry trends concerning Agile methodologies Performs other job-related duties as assigned Required Qualifications High School Grad / GED Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience Experience: 4+ years Preferred Qualifications None
