**MANTECH** seeks a motivated and career-oriented **Senior Scrum Master** to join our team. This is a fully **remote** position. **Responsibilities include but are not limited to:** + Facilitate all Scrum events, including sprint planning, daily scrums, sprint reviews, and sprint retrospectives, ensuring they are productive, and time boxed + Coach, guide and empower one or more cross-functional teams on agile principles and Scrum practices, fostering a self-organizing and high-performing team environment + Helps remove impediments and fosters an environment for high-performing team dynamics, continuous flow, and relentless improvement + Work closely with the Product Owner to manage the product backlog, ensuring it is refined, prioritized, and transparent to the development team + Leverage expertise in Agile methodologies to enhance team performance, predictability, and effective communication and collaboration within the development team and with external stakeholders + Promote a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging experimentation and the adoption of best practices, including facilitating Scrum events, removing impediments, and driving the successful delivery of high-quality software + Support the adoption of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) principles and practices within the team and across the program **Minimum Qualifications:** + Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of relevant experience; equivalent education and years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree + 4+ years of experience in a Scrum Master role for a software development team + Demonstrated experience with Agile practices and frameworks, with a strong preference for the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) + Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) certification + Expertise in Agile techniques and artifacts such as: Agile Project Management, PI Planning, Epics/Features/Stories, Burndown/Burnup charts, Retrospectives, etc. + Experience with Agile tools such as Jira or Confluence **Preferred Qualifications:** + Advanced certifications such as Advanced Certified ScrumMaster (A-CSM), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), or SAFe Advanced Scrum Master. + Experience with modern software development practices such as Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), Test-Driven Development (TDD), and automated testing. + Familiarity with common software development technology stacks (e.g., Java, .NET, JavaScript frameworks) to facilitate technical discussions and understand team challenges. + Experience with IT Security, Application Security, and System Architecture environments. + Knowledge of federal Government directives, policies, publications, and regulations. **Security Clearance Requirements:** + Must have a current and active DOD Secret clearance. + Ability to obtain an agency suitability access **Physical Requirements:** + The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. + Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
