Overview Job Title: Senior Scientist-Sensory & Consumer Experience Employer: Frito Lay, Inc. Location: 7701 Legacy Drive, Plano, TX 75024 Responsibilities Duties: Work within team of Sensory Scientists and Coordinators to lead Sensory and Consumer Product Insights research for R&D teams to drive product, package and process design decisions. Develop and execute research plans to enable clear product / process design decisions for product development, Work with cross functional partners to clarify proposition questions and to create joint learning plans as needed. Ensure accurate documentation of test goals and objectives, test design, and testing procedures. Summarize results, interpret, make recommendations and present results cross functionally. Deliver recommendations based on the data to impact business decisions and influence the business agenda. Collaborate across Sensory & Consumer Experience to explore new capabilities and methodologies. *Telecommuting permitted 40%: work may be performed within normal commuting distance from the Frito Lay office in Plano, TX. #LI-DNI Qualifications Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree (U.S. or Foreign Equivalent) in Food Science, Food Engineering, Consumer Psychology, Market Research, Sensory and Consumer Science, or related technical discipline and five (5) years of experience guiding research in a major consumer packaged goods company, with Sensory and Consumer Science degree or Certification required; OR a PhD (U.S. or Foreign Equivalent) in Sensory and Consumer Science Degree, or related field. Must have four (4) years of experience (or experience through coursework with PhD) with the following: Leading Qualitative & Quantitative Consumer Research; application of Sensory Testing Methods; application of appropriate analysis procedures for sensory and consumer data; training and experience applying experimental design and statistics to sensory and consumer research; leading and managing multiple projects simultaneously; and interpreting complex data and related impact to the business. *10% travel required domestic and internationally.
