**Job Description:**
The (Senior) Scientist will join the Advanced Materials Characterization and Investigations (AMCI) group within AD. AMCI is an international and diverse multidisciplinary team of scientists leading advanced characterization and mechanistical understanding of our drug substances and drug products. We are also leading analytical investigations for commercial and R&D portfolio.
Within AMCI, the Advanced Molecular Analysis (AMA) team is a group of analytical centers of excellence in structure elucidation (by high-resolution mass spectrometry and NMR), organic and inorganic trace analysis, polymer characterization, as well as ADC, oligonucleotide & peptide analytics.
We are currently seeking a skilled and enthusiastic scientist to join our AMA team, where you will you will work together with internal and external specialists in drug product development and analytical development teams to find innovative solutions for the development of multidimensional chromatographic methods hyphenated with specific detectors such as ELSD, MALS, HRMS, CD, for various applications including polymers and new modalities as oligonucleotides, peptides and ADC’s. **Key Responsibilities:**
+ Design and develop advanced analytical methods, including innovative sample preparations and cutting-edge multidimensional chromatographic separations, using ELSD, MALS, HRMS, CD, etc. as detectors.
+ With these techniques, characterize polymers in various matrices, as well as new modalities such as oligonucleotide, peptide and ADC drug substances and drug products.
+ Apply state-of-the art scientific knowledge to ensure high-quality of the delivered results.
+ Work in a multidisciplinary team of scientists and show the ability to learn and explore new analytical techniques.
+ Maintain a safe work environment in compliance with all applicable environmental, health, regulatory requirements, GMP and safety regulations.
**Qualifications**
+ Required: a PhD degree in Analytical Chemistry or related field; or a Master degree in Analytical Chemistry or related field, with a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in industry; or a Bachelor degree in Analytical Chemistry or related field with a minimum of 4-8 years of experience in industry (analytical laboratory).
+ In-depth knowledge of liquid chromatography is a must.
+ Expertise in multidimensional liquid chromatography is a significant asset.
+ Background in polymer science is an advantage.
+ Hands-on experience with mass spectrometry techniques is a clear plus.
