The Senior Scientist – Technology Transfer - US Lead is responsible for ensuring efficient transfer of products and processes between Research and Development (R&D) and Manufacturing, and between different Abcam sites.
This position reports to the Director of Cell Engineering, Cell Sciences and Tech Transfer and is part of the Technology Transfer Team who operates globally. This role can be based in either Eugene, Oregon, or Waltham, Massachusetts. At Abcam, our vision is to be the most influential life sciences company for researchers worldwide.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Lead and coordinate global technology transfers across sites and departments to ensure efficient and robust pipeline and product transitions.Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Manufacturing, and Research & Innovation teams to align technology transfers with process, documentation, and equipment improvements.Drive standardization and process improvement by contributing to the Technology Transfer group and implementing consistent procedures for production, testing, and product release.Provide technical and operational support during investigations related to tech transfer issues, ensuring timely resolution and continuous improvement.Monitor performance and represent the function, tracking key metrics, supporting audits, and promoting a safe, compliant lab environment.The essential requirements of the job include:
A BSc in Life Sciences or equivalent with at least 8-10 years of working in the Life Science industry.Proven understanding of antibody discovery workflows.Experience of working in a product development, technology transfer or validation role.
