Senior SAP Security Administrator

Summary The Senior SAP Security Administrator will support the business by fulfilling tasks within the SAP Security field from 8AM to 5PM Eastern Time Zone (USA, Florida). The person in this role must have extensive experience in various areas that overlap with SAP Security and must be knowledgeable in Identity and Access Management concepts. Responsibilities The responsibility of the Senior SAP Security Administrator is to ensure proper completion of requests which may involve security tracing, collaboration with other teams, securing custom transactions, supporting P1/P2 incidents, liaising SAP support cases, and supporting projects (upgrades and new initiatives). Essential Responsibilities Handle day to day SAP Security access requests. Design and create new security roles according to business specifications and best practices. Oversee SAP Security change requests in collaboration with the SAP Governance team. Participate in user access reviews in collaboration with the SAP Governance team. Manage users and entitlements in collaboration with the IAM Engineering team. Collaborate with the SAP Governance team in collection and preparation of Security data for auditors. Develop documentation such as work instructions, policies, and procedures. Produce clear and usable security documentation throughout the lifecycle of the project. Produce all relevant security documentation (approvals, change documents, etc.) throughout the lifecycle of an access request. Complete weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual SAP Security tasks (user licensing, critical authorization checks, EWA reports, etc.). Participate in security-related projects, providing guidance and expertise to ensure successful implementation. Serve as a key focal point for project requirement analysis. Serve as escalation point for P1/P2 incidents. Serve as a “back up Admin” to the IAM Engineering team (SailPoint, Bitwarden, etc.). Provide on call and weekend support as necessary for P1/P2 incidents and project support. Other duties as assigned. Education, Experience and Desired Skills Bachelor’s degree in related field of study. Experience may be substituted in lieu of education as determined by management. 7+ years’ experience supporting one or more of the following SAP systems on a technical level: SAP ECC SAP S/4 HANA SAP BW SAP EWM SAP HANA Database SAP Analytics Cloud SAP Datasphere SAP Integrated Business Planning SAP CRM SAP Cloud IAS/IPS SAP BTP SAP Fiori SAP Ariba SAP GRC SAP Solution Manager SAP CHARM SAP CALM Strong understanding of IAM concepts. Strong understanding of SAP Governance, Risk, and Compliance concepts. Strong understanding of audit concepts. Proficient in Active Directory user administration. Proficient in Microsoft PowerShell for Active Directory. Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Visio, etc.). Ability to perform complex data analysis in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, complex formulas, etc.). Ability to communicate effectively with IT and business users regarding security issues. Strong analytical, statistical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills; must be able to communicate technical concepts clearly with people at all levels of the business in technical or non-technical terms with equal comfort and skill. Ability to mentor junior staff members. Ability to create procedural, design, and reference documentation for existing and new processes and/or implementations. Experience Preferred Experience with SailPoint.
