Your ability to accelerate impact and make meaningful change for your clients is enabled by our strategic partner ecosystem and our robust technology platforms across the IBM portfolio **Your role and responsibilities** We are looking for an experienced SAP PP/QM Consultant to provide ongoing support, maintenance, and enhancements for the SAP Production Planning (PP) and Quality Management (QM) modules. The role involves resolving user issues, ensuring system stability, optimizing existing configurations, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing and quality areas. ------------------------- * Provide day-to-day functional support for SAP PP and QM modules, including incident resolution, service requests, and minor enhancements. * Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to production planning, shop floor execution, inspection processes, and quality notifications. * Analyze recurring issues and recommend process or configuration improvements to enhance system performance and user satisfaction. * Manage configuration changes in PP and QM, ensuring proper documentation and testing before deployment. * Support end users with queries, training, and guidance on SAP transactions and best practices. * Collaborate with technical teams (ABAP, Basis) for debugging, performance tuning, and system maintenance. * Participate in system upgrades, patch testing, and regression testing to ensure stable operations. * Work with business process owners to gather requirements for small enhancements or change requests. * Maintain and update functional documentation, configuration guides, and training materials. * Monitor integration points between PP/QM and other modules such as MM, SD, PM, and FI/CO. **Required technical and professional expertise** * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field. * 3-7 years of experience as an SAP PP/QM functional consultant, with a focus on support or AMS (Application Management Services). * Solid understanding of SAP PP processes (MRP, BOM, Routing, Work Centers, Production Orders, Capacity Planning) and SAP QM processes (Inspection Lot Processing, Results Recording, Quality Notifications, Certificates). * Experience in issue analysis using SAP tools such as ST22, SM37, and transaction tracing. * Familiarity with ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Remedy, or Solution Manager). * Knowledge of integration points between PP/QM and other SAP modules. * Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with business users effectively. * SAP certification in PP or QM is a plus. **Preferred technical and professional experience** * Experience supporting SAP S/4HANA systems and Fiori apps. * Basic knowledge of batch management and serial number management. * Understanding of manufacturing and quality processes in a regulated or high-volume production environment. * Ability to work within a ticket-based support model and meet SLAs. * Italian language nice to have IBM is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal-opportunity employer.
